Tricia and I found ourselves at Walt Disney World for Christmas this year (for Tricia, it was a chance to see family; for me, it was a chance to get away from them!) and, of course, we had to get together for some wine!
If you're really into food & wine, check out the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. But you can always find a wide variety of wines in the World Showcase portion of Epcot.
Epcot's World Showcase is made up of 11 pavilions representing 11 countries / regions:
- Mexico
- Norway
- China
- Germany
- Italy
- United States
- Japan
- Morocco
- France
- United Kingdom
- Canada
Look at how many of these countries are known for their wines: Germany, Italy, France. Tricia was just finishing up dinner (and Riesling) at Biergarten Restaurant in Germany when we met up at La Bottega Italiana in Italy.
I'd usually go for a red wine, but it was HOT that day, so I went for a crisp white instead. The wine was served in almost a champagne-style plastic glass, which makes me wonder what they use to serve the red wine. The shape of the wine glass makes a difference!
If you're looking for International wines, without international travel, make your way to Epcot at Walt Disney World. Or, you can check out these international wine clubs:
