We recently stumbled across the Cameron Hughes Wine Club, and while we wait for a shipment to do a hands-on review, we thought it'd be good to introduce you to this club and what they have to offer.
Cameron Hughes (the person) and Jessica Kogan started Cameron Hughes (the winemaker) in 2001. They now make, import and distribute wines under the labels The Lot Series, Hughes Wellman, Cameron Hughes California, Greenlip, and Zin Your Face. You may have seen these wines in your local grocery, wine or liquor store.
Cameron Hughes offers 3 different wine clubs: “Just Reds,” “Just Whites,” and “Mixed Reds and Whites.” Each club comes with either 6- or 12-bottles at $60-$240 per shipment (depending on the club, the wine selection for that shipment and whether you choose 6 or 12 bottles per shipment) plus tax and shipping. Shipping is just $5 for 6-bottle clubs, and $10 for 12-bottle clubs. Your can choose to receive shipments monthly or quarterly, so there's lots of options when joining (quarterly shipments are sent in March, June, September and December).
While you maintain an active wine club with Cameron Hughes, you also receive 15% off all wines purchased directly from their website.
Wines are shipped from San Francisco, California and they ship to many states, including here in New York! I'm looking forward to receiving a shipment so I can try them out.
Outside of wine clubs, Cameron Hughes has a “Samplers” category, where you can order a shipment of wine that's chosen for a certain occasion. Currently, they have a “BBQ Reds” package, “Fruit of the Sea” and “Summer Sippers.” Best of all, these Sampler packs ship for just $5!
