Club W is known for being different from most of the other wine clubs, and this month they have released a truly unique offering. They have collaborated with Chocolatier Jonathan Grahm to present a pairing perfect for Valentine's Day. With each bottle of 2015 Compartes x WINC Sparkling Red Blend you order, you will receive Grahm's Chocolate Love Salted Pretzel Dark Chocolate Bar.
The organic wine is a Lambrusco-style sparkling produced in Santa Barbara County, California. The chocolate bar is made from organic dark chocolate and San Francisco sourdough pretzels. The wine was specifically made to pair with the chocolate!
I don't think I have ever seen a wine club advertise something that was so clearly made for me. When it comes to wine and chocolate pairings, I try every one of them I can get my hands on (see my Disney Cruise Chocolate and Wine Tasting). This came out on February 3 and if it is like a lot of their other featured wines, it probably will not last very long. If you order it quickly, you can likely even get it before Valentine's Day (I think my last shipment took 2 days). You do need to join their club to make purchases on their site, but it is free to join and there are no minimum purchase requirements.
