Big news from The California Wine Club! Last week we introduced you to the Simply Red Club, a new offering from The California Wine Club that features only red wines. Some of you asked…what about fans of white wine?
Although it is not a full new club, they are now trying out “Sweet and Lovely Sippers,” a pair of “sweetly refreshing white wines” that you can have shipped just like one of their regular wine club shipments. The shipment is $39.95, and that price includes the shipping. You will receive 2 different white wines:
- Margerum Wine Company 2013 Santa Barbara County Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc
- Le Vigne Winery 2014 Kiara Bella Moscato
When you add it to your cart, it will show up as the “Sweet and Lovely” club with a duration of a one time only shipment. At this time, that is the only option. However, we are hoping that it will be popular and they will end up extending it or adding a similar club.
My husband and most of my girlfriends tend to prefer white wines (and usually sweet). I like white wine but not overly sweet. The wine should be of the great quality that I have come to expect from The California Wine Club, and it should be just sweet enough that everyone can enjoy it. My guess is that the Moscato will be a bit sweeter than the Sauvignon Blanc, but I won't know until I try!
One thing to note is that the offer cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions, or discounts. So if you snagged the $25 promo code that we have for The California Wine Club, it will have to be used on one of the other clubs of theirs that we have reviewed. That discount CAN be used if you sign up for the Premier Series and order the 2 Whites Option. Those white wines are not guaranteed to be sweet and you get 2 of the same bottle each month. But it's a great option for white wine drinkers as well.
We're anxious to hear how this Sweet and Lovely Sippers option goes over and to see if The California Wine Club will consider adding a permanent sweet wine club to their growing list of wine club options.
