Wineries can only ship up to 18 cases annually to a single Maryland address. That probably will not be a problem for you! Beyond that, any of the wine clubs that we have listed is an option for you to purchase from. The shipments will have to be made via common carrier, which means you will likely receive it via FedEx or UPS. If possible, have the shipment delivered to a business address because someone over 21 will need to sign for it.

Really Good Boxed Wine is luxury wine, in a box.
This wine is simply delicious. Since it comes in a box, there are no bottles to break and no corkscrews needed. And, since it's not in a bottle, the wine can stay fresh for weeks.

I love this wine from Really Good Boxed Wine! It is not cheap. It is delicious. Within each box of wine, you get the same as 4 bottles of wine -- and it stays fresh for 6 weeks. Buy anytime you want luxury wine at your home, or get a membership for consistent deliveries and discounts.

- Wine making was first recorded in Maryland in 1648, although the state's first winery was not opened until 1945. The state has 4 wine regions, with the majority of the vineyards residing in Central Maryland. Various grapes including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chambourcin, Barbera, Sangiovese, Vidal, and Chardonnay are grown in the state. The state is now home to over 60 different wineries. Some of the notable ones include:
Although many of them are open to the public daily year round, some are open by appointment only so be sure to research them in advance if you want to visit. Many of them also feature various events and festivals throughout the year. The state's largest festival of its kind, the Maryland Wine Festival, has been held every September since 1985.
There are also a number of “Wine Trails” that offer self-guided tours of particular regions. These include the Antietam Highlands Wine Trail, the Chesapeake Wine Trail, and the Piedmont Wine Trail.
