Really Good Boxed Wine is luxury wine, in a box.

This wine is simply delicious.  Since it comes in a box, there are no bottles to break and no corkscrews needed.  And, since it’s not in a bottle, the wine can stay fresh for weeks.

This wine is a personal favorite of Todd’s and comes highly recommended.

Original price was: $70.00.Current price is: $63.00.

Full Review of Really Good Boxed Wine

I am really glad I reviewed Really Good Boxed Wine.  This review is unique in a few aspects.

(1) Normally, we review only “Wine Clubs”, where the selected wines change from delivery to delivery.  Instead, with Really Good Boxed Wine, you know exactly what you receive, every time — because it's the same wine every time.

(2) Normally, the wines we review are in bottles.  Instead, we learned that boxed wine can be exceptional and delicious.

(3) Normally, the delivery is sent to my home or office.  Instead, I opted to use the convenient delivery option allowing the freedom to not be at home for delivery, and pickup at a local business at my convenience.

For this review, I ordered 2 boxes of wine.  Since I loved it so much and wanted more, I ordered 3 more boxes!

In short:  I love this wine.

It is not cheap.  It is delicious.

Is there a subscription required?

In short, no.

You can just buy boxes of wine as you need them.  Anyone can purchase any box of wine that is available in their inventory at the time they want to purchase it.  (That's a long way of saying, the public can purchase whatever is available in their wine shop.)

But, subscription is available as an option through their wine club.

If you choose to subscribe to deliveries, you must always have 2 boxes at a minimum per delivery — but it comes at a discount from the public prices.  And, members get access to their small batch reserve wines and special offers.

My Ordering Experience with Really Good Boxed Wine

Since I knew which of their wines I wanted to try, there was very little time spent on their website.  For my first order, I joined the wine club and selected my 2 wines:  The Cabernet and the Old Vine Primitivo.  (Here is my full blog post about this initial delivery from Really Good Boxed Wine.)

As I placed my order, I was presented with a new delivery option I hadn't seen before:  I could choose to have my wine delivered to a local business and I can pick it up at my convenience.  This was very interesting to me, because in all these years reviewing wine clubs, the only “challenging” part is being home for the delivery.  Now, I can watch the Fedex updates as they deliver my shipment of wine to the Walgreens around the corner from my house.  After work, I stopped by and picked it up on my way home that night.

For the first time ever, I had wine delivered to my local Walgreens and I picked it up at my convenience. This was my delivery of 2 boxes of wine from Really Good Boxed Wine.

I picked up my second delivery of Really Good Boxed Wine at my local Walgreens. This delivery held 3 boxes of wine.

Their automated system kept me updated the entire time, and it came within a week or so.

What do you get in your Really Good Boxed Wine Delivery?

One of the many benefits of boxed wine is its “transportability”.  There are no bottles to break, so packaging can be more efficient.  So, the boxes I received in my deliveries are very simple and straightforward:  The boxes of wine were delivered in a box.  Everything looks pretty and nicely branded, but there is no fluff and no extra contents.  Just the wine.

And, it's all recyclable.

The shipping box is well branded, fun and kept my 2 boxes of wine safe for delivery.

This was my delivery of 3 boxes of Really Good Boxed Wine. ( I ordered this delivery because we loved the first delivery of 2 boxes so much we had to order more!)

Who should order from Really Good Boxed Wine?

If you are looking for delicious wine that you can rely on to be fresh and available for a single glass of wine without the pressure to drink an entire bottle, then this could be a good choice.  Upon opening the box, their wine stays fresh for six weeks!  Just pour a glass whenever you want, and leave the box on the bar!  I like the reliability of knowing I have wine that I know is delicious readily available.

And, for parties and group gatherings?  Boxed wine is an awesome option.

For my mom's recent birthday dinner, I set out some stemless wine glasses and all 3 boxes from my recent shipment on the counter and everyone served themselves.  Turns out, my mom preferred the Cabernet over the other two boxes, so everyone drank the wine they preferred.  (My wife and I loved all 3.)

The art on each of these boxes are very nice.

How much does wine cost, when you buy Really Good Boxed Wine?

In order to compare prices, we need to realize that in a single box of wine, you get 4 bottles of wine.  (It's 3 liters of wine, which is the same quantity found in 4 bottles of wine.).

It is the same thing as buying 4 bottles of wine.

So, to make it easier to compare, let's look at the cost of a box on a “per bottle” price.

It's simple math:
If a box costs $100, the effective “per bottle price” is $25 per bottle.
($100 / 4 = $25)

The GSM reserve and the Old Vine Primitivo were $100 per box when I purchased them. (I think I got a 15% discount as a member buying multiple boxes though.)

The Cabernet Sauvignon is currently retailing for $70 a box.  (That makes it $17.50 “per bottle”.)

They have FREE SHIPPING, so the only additional fee is tax.

At $70 per box the “per bottle” price is $17.50 for this luxury Cabernet Sauvignon

This Old Vine Primitivo from Really Good Boxed Wine was in my first and second delivery. I love this wine. It is “limited” and not always available.  It was $100 per box when I purchased it.

This GSM Reserve from Really Good Boxed Wine is delicious and very limited in availability. It was $100 per box when I purchased it.

Are there discounts and deals available for Really Good Boxed Wine?

Yes, Really Good Boxed Wine offers discounts for new customers and for purchases of multiple boxes, and discounts for members of their wine subscription.

They offered amazing Black Friday deals.  Currently, they have a deal offering $25 off a purchase of 3 boxes.  The 3 boxes of wine is equivalent to 12 bottles of wine, which is a full case of wine.  Thus, I find their coupon code of “CASE” to be subtly clever.

What is so special about the wine from Really Good Boxed Wine?

They are a small batch winery and create delicious wine.  Their choice to package this luxury wine in a box instead of a bottle is really unique and allows some quick differentiation and a lot of benefits from choosing box wine.

Their wine has no added sugar, is vegan diet friendly and more.

“Bottle Quality” is correct! But I do love having this really good wine in a box!

Each box contains 4 bottles of wine. This ad compares a few differences.

Agreed: Luxury Quality is correct! I love this wine.

I love their social media ads. This highlights 3 quick features of their really good boxed wine!

Does Really Good Boxed Wine have white wine?

Yes. Really Good Boxed Wine has an Unoaked Chardonnay ($70 a box) and a Reserve Chardonnay ($100 a box) and limited in availability.

As I write this review, I see they are sold out of the only other white wine, their Sauvignon Blanc from Russian River Valley.  So, if you're a lover of white wine, you'll have to have better timing to get your hands on their Sauvignon Blanc.

However, it appears their Chardonnay is readily available and is highly rated.  BTW – if you're looking for a Chardonnay of the month club, we're suggesting RGBW.

Final Thoughts on Really Good Boxed Wine

I love their wine.

It is not cheap.  It is delicious!

I purchased the first 2 boxes because I wanted to review this wine.

…I purchased the next 3 boxes because I loved the wine and wanted more!

I can say that I highly recommend this wine.  Please use our affiliate link when making a purchase of Really Good Boxed Wine.

After we opened all the boxes and drank all the wine, I have one last photo before we order more!
