Finding Wine Clubs That Ship To Your State

Are you looking for a wine club that will ship to your state? Or perhaps one that will ship to a state where you need to send a gift? Wine delivery laws are extremely confusing, but I am going to try to help you find the right wine clubs that can be shipped where you need them shipped.

[custom_frame_right shadow=”on”]Wine Clubs That Ship to My State[/custom_frame_right]What Are The Wine Delivery Laws in the U.S.?

The Liquor Law Repeal and Enforcement Act (the Webb-Kenyon Act) regulates shipments of alcohol beverages from one state into another state based on the laws of the receiving state. (27 U.S.C. §122) Unfortunately, wine delivery laws very from state to state. Even worse, the  laws change frequently, especially as e-commerce continues to rise. In my state (Indiana), you need a lawyer (which I am) to help you figure out the current state of the law vis a vis special permits and common carrier regulations. Even after reading over statutes and case law, I don't feel incredibly comfortable in my understanding of my own state.

How can you be expected to figure out the wine laws yourself? Fortunately for us, wine clubs pay people to make sure that they get the laws right and will tell you where they can ship!

Which Wine Club Delivers To Each State?

There are a number of factors involved in wine club delivery including where the clubs have permits to deliver, what kind of carriers they use, and if they also sell their wine wholesale. As the buyer of the wine club, it does not usually matter where YOU live. It only matters where you want to send the wine.

Some of the wine clubs (like WSJ Wine Club) will ask you for your state before you even start browsing the site. Put in the state to which you want the wine sent. Others will have a “Shipping Frequently Asked Questions” that will list the states to which the wine club can ship. Look for that usually in the sidebar or the footer.

We've tried to make it even easier for you by setting up a “Shop By State Wine Club” list. Simply choose the state where you want you want to send the wine club. It will then bring you to a page for that site, such as Monthly Wine Clubs that Ship to Maryland. All of the clubs on that page are clubs that should ship to that state. Keep in mind that state laws do change and wine clubs change their businesses. But we try to keep our list as accurate as possible so that you do not waste your time.

When you are on the state page, just start clicking through the various clubs to read more about them, including our reviews and ratings and maybe even some videos.

You'll be surprised how many wine clubs you will find that ship where you need them to ship. Even in a difficult state like Indiana I am able to get Cellars Wine Club, Gold Medal Wine Club, WSJ Wine Club, and Zagat. My home state of Pennsylvania is trickier but you can get Cellars, Gold Medal, and Gourmet Food Clubs.

Visit our Shop By State page now to see which clubs will work for you.
