We review wine clubs.
We independently research every club that we review. Although we may receive free samples or commissions on some sales, our opinions are always our own.

NakedWines.com Secures $10 Million in Funding

[custom_frame_left shadow=”on”]Naked Wines[/custom_frame_left]NakedWines.com announced that they received a $10 million third round investment from WIV Wein International AG, the world's leading group of direct wine selling companies. The investment came as a long-term shareholder loan through the parent company of NakedWines.com. According to the press release, the money will be used to help accelerate their growth into the U.S. and Australia.

We were fortunate enough to review NakedWines.com several months ago and found their concept to be very unique. The money that you deposit into your club account is used to fund small winemakers. You use the money to choose which wines you want (at a 40-50% discount) or can withdraw your money at any time. We have an exclusive code for our readers that will allow you to deposit $40, and get a $100 bonus!

When you receive your shipment, each bottle has a QR code that you can scan to get more information about the wine including others' tasting notes and ratings. It makes the whole process a little more interactive while keeping costs down.

We haven't heard to much about NakedWines.com in the U.S. yet, but hopefully we will now with this new funding. Check out Eric's “Naked” review below for more information on how it all works.
