We’re attending an online wine tasting! (Sommsation soiree)

I will share what I learn about these online wine tasting events

I paid $99 to experience a full wine tasting class including 2 bottles of wine delivered and an online experience lead by master sommeliers, from a company called Sommsation.  (They sell wine.)  The event I bought is for this coming Saturday evening and I will give you a full review when it's all done.  In the meantime, let me share what I've learned so far about Sommsation online wine tasting events.

First a quick backstory:  A few years ago, my wife and I attended a “4 night” wine tasting class with our local wine store that took place in their tasting room over four Monday evenings that lasted about 2 hours each night.  The event was so much fun and we learned a ton about wine!

BTW – we audio recorded that wine tasting event and have shared it with our free email subscribers.  Access the recordings of our wine tasting class free!

If you've ever participated in a wine tasting event IRL before, and if you join an online wine tasting event, you may notice a lot of similarities.  They are both loads of fun and you learn stuff you want to know about wine!

So, as mentioned, this upcoming weekend, I am scheduled to participate an online wine tasting event with my wife, with Sommsation.  This month's online wine tasting event will feature the winery Opolo Vineyards.  We will be tasting their Tempranillo (red wine) and their Albarino (white wine).

UPDATE:  We published our review of the Sommsation Soiree online with lots of photos and videos.

As a representative of Wine Club Group, I was given access to join last week's tasting class, but only as an observer.  I did not receive the wine last week, but I was able to join in the zoom call and listen in and experience almost everything else.

It was really neat!

The presenters are master sommelier from Sommsation and the wine maker from this session. Video participation is optional at the zoom online wine tasting. (For privacy, I blurred out participants)

I was given the zoom link to join the class and jumped in a little late.

I didn't have the wine sent to me, so I was unable to smell and taste the same experiences all the other participants were experiencing.  However, I did get a good sense of what to expect at the upcoming wine tasting event that I paid for,

We will keep you posted.  And if you'd like to check out Sommsation, please use our affiliate link by clicking here, as we may earn a commission from any resulting purchases.
