Vinebox is a unique “wine tasting experience” and excellent wine tasting gift shop. They offer a subscription that provides 6 ultra-premium glasses of wine (each with sommelier-led tasting videos) with a surprise theme each month. For example, February featured “chocolate and wine pairings” in the box. Shipping is included. $79 for a one-time purchase or only pay $64 with a monthly subscription. 3-6 month prepaid subscriptions make an excellent gift and they offer great wine gifts for wine lovers.

What is Vinebox?
Vinebox is unique in a couple of ways and may be worth a look for a wine lover who values “quality over quantity”, loves to learn about high-end wines with a surprise theme each month.
Each month, Vinebox customers receive six glasses of high-quality wines that are hand selected by expert sommeliers. These glasses of wine are delivered in patented “vials” (or tubes of glass, capped with a screwcap) that are accompanied by sommelier-led tasting videos for a truly unique and educational wine tasting experience. The delivery box includes your 6 tastes of wine that also comes with printed tasting notes and food pairing suggestions for each wine.
Customers can purchase a single delivery, or save with a monthly subscription. ($79 for a one-time purchase or a $63.20 monthly subscription, as of February 2025)
Their gift options are really unique and should be considered for the next time you want to buy a gift for a wine lover! (They have gifts under $50 and a ton of gift options under $100!)

A quick summary of Vinebox and what makes them unique:
The wines they deliver are “glasses of wine”, not full bottles of wine.
Instead of bottles of wine, customers receive “tastes” of the ultra-premium wines, via a unique (and patented) tube, or vial. Inside each screw-top vial is 100ml of wine. (For reference, a full bottle of wine is 750 ml, and a standard glass of wine is 150ml.)
The vial is printed with the logo or brand of the wine, as well as other information about its delicious contents. (They'll include the varietal like “Merlot” or “Chardonnay”, or “Red Blend”, etc.)
Another aspect of this “tube technology”, where they fill a vial with 100ml of wine is how the wine is transfered into the vials. Vinebox utilizes nitrogen when transfering the 100ml from a 750ml bottle of wine into the patented tube to ensure quality.
The vials of wine last about 3 years, but who could possibly wait that long?

How are the wines selected in Vinebox deliveries?
Wine is expertly-selected, based on a theme, and is the same for everyone.
On the first of each month a new theme is announced and the shipping process begins. Within the first week of the month, all customers receive their Vinebox. (Yes, all customers receive the same Vinebox. You must be open-minded!)
Their chosen themes are cute, fun, timely or based on a pun. Past month's have themes named “Trivia night”, “One Hit Wonders”, “Game day”, and “The Grape Detective”.
In any event, regardless of the theme — the wine will be delicious. (This is my personal opinion, based on tasting the wines in the deliveries I paid for.)
“Do I have to buy a subscription to Vinebox?”
They sell their 6 Tastes of Wine as a one-time purchase or by monthly subscription.
For $79, you can get the current month's Vinebox delivered to you anytime throughout the month, provided they haven't sold out for the month yet. Or, subscribers only pay $64 for the same Vinebox — they just receive a new box every month until cancelled.
Shipping is included in the price. Only add sales tax to determine your final price.
I want to give a wine lover a great gift. What gifts does Vinebox sell?
They have gift options that are really smart!
You can gift Vinebox by prepaying for a 3 or 6 month subscription. What a wonderful gift for a wine lover! Of course you can send a one-time Vinebox to a gift recipient for the normal $79 price, but if you want to send a Vinebox for 3 months the price is $189.60 ($63.20 per Vinebox), or if you want to send 6 months of Vinebox deliveries the price is $355.50 ($59.25 per Vinebox) — the best value.
Also – they have specialty boxes available for a one-time purchase at various price points. (As of the date of this review, Vinebox offers 4 very nice gift options under $50, in addition to a ton of options under $100.)
Their gift boxes are great for gifting a specific wine themed box to wine lovers, without waiting for the surprise theme of the month. For instance, they offer a “Red Lovers 3-pack” for $49, or a “Rose Lovers 3-pack” for $79, among many others.
And, gifting a Vinebox for many different occasions, like a great “Birthday Tastings” box (for $46) as a birthday gift, or a “Gratitude” box (for $79) as a delicious way to say “thank you” to that special wine lover in your life. Our experience with Vinebox
During the holidays, we purchased one of their 12 nights of Wine” Advent Calendar, so we received 12 wines from Spain, France, Italy and Portugal. (See our full review, including video here!)
For 12 tastes of wine, we paid $129 – so the price was about $10 a glass or so.

The tasting card aligns with the bottles in the packaging of this “12 nights of wine” advent calendar. These wines are the same that come in monthly subscriptions.
In fact, almost all of their products result in a “per glass price” of about $10-ish. For reference: Their 9 tastes of wine “Dinner Box” is $99, or roughly $10 a glass — which is comparably priced on a per-glass basis. On that note, monthly subscribers pay under $64 for 6 glasses, so that's also around $10 a glass. My point: The $10-ish per-glass price I paid is about the same as what you'll pay with any of their Vineboxes.
Their packaging is exceptional and they obviously take time and focus on the details to ensure a high quality experience.
How does the wine taste in Vinebox?
In summary: The wine was so delicious!
Todd opened up 2 glasses for this review and video and absolutely loved them.
The second glass of wine resulted in a much larger smile than the first. But I promise, both wines were equally delicious!
The first glass was a Merlot from France and the second was a Red Blend from Portugal. (Absolutely perfect wines.)
Vinebox sends all kinds of wines from various regions and various variatals based on the theme of the current month's Vinebox.
